The step between washing your face and everything else. Wasabi microgreens grown on our Philadelphia farm, rose water, rice ferment, and niacinamide in a four ounce bottle.
This is the brightening one. Niacinamide and rice ferment carry most of the work on tone and texture, and the wasabi microgreens bring the antioxidants.
The rose here is a hydrosol, real distilled rose water rather than a fragrance blend, so the scent is light and it fades fast.
How to use
- Cleanse first. This goes on after washing, not instead of it.
- Apply to damp skin. A few drops into clean palms or onto a cotton pad. Press it in rather than wiping.
- Follow up. Serum or moisturizer while your face is still slightly damp.
Morning and night. Start once a day if your skin is new to toners or new to niacinamide.
What it targets
- Uneven-looking tone. Niacinamide helps brighten and even out the look of skin tone with regular use.
- Rough-looking texture. Rice ferment helps leave the surface of the skin looking smoother and more refined.
- Tight skin after cleansing. Aloe, glycerin, and rose water go back in what a cleanser takes out.
- Environmental stress. Wasabi microgreens carry antioxidant compounds that help support the appearance of skin resilience against pollution and weather.
What is inside
- Wasabi microgreens. Wasabia japonica, harvested young, when antioxidant concentrations are at their highest.
- Niacinamide. A form of vitamin B3, and one of the better-studied ingredients for the look of uneven tone.
- Rice ferment water. A traditional ingredient for the look of smooth, refined skin.
- Rose hydrosol. Distilled rose water, the real thing rather than a fragrance oil. It is where the scent comes from.
- Witch hazel. Standardized to fourteen percent alcohol. It is what gives the toner its light, quick-drying feel.
Full ingredients: Aqua (Distilled Water), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract (standardized to 14% alcohol), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Wasabia Japonica (Wasabi Microgreens) Extract, Niacinamide, Rice Ferment Water, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Water (Rose Hydrosol), Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Lactobacillus (and) Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Sodium Phytate, Citric Acid.
Safety
Contains witch hazel with alcohol. Standardized to fourteen percent. If your skin is very dry or sensitive, patch test and start with once a day.
Niacinamide can cause flushing in some people, usually a brief warmth or pinkness. Patch test before the first full use.
For external use only. Avoid the eye area, and rinse thoroughly with water if it gets in your eyes. If irritation occurs, stop using it.
Keep the cap on and store in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
