This is the clarifying toner. Witch hazel and bergamot leaf take down shine, vitamin C works on the look of uneven tone, and hyaluronic acid keeps the whole thing from drying you out.
It is the one to reach for if your skin runs oily or just looks tired from living in a city.
How to use
- Cleanse first. This goes on after washing, not instead of it.
- Apply to damp skin. A few drops into clean palms or onto a cotton pad. Press it in rather than wiping.
- Follow up. Serum or moisturizer while your face is still slightly damp.
Morning and night. Start once a day if your skin is new to toners or to vitamin C.
What it targets
- Shine. Witch hazel and bergamot leaf help skin look clearer and less slick through the day.
- Uneven tone. Vitamin C helps brighten the look of dark spots and uneven-looking patches over time.
- Environmental stress. Broccoli microgreens contain sulforaphane, which helps support the appearance of skin resilience against pollution, weather, and daily life.
- Toners that leave you tight. Hyaluronic acid and aloe are in here so clarifying does not mean stripping.
What is inside
- Broccoli microgreens. Rich in sulforaphane, they help support the look of skin resilience and a brighter, more refreshed appearance over time.
- Vitamin C. Sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a stable form that does not oxidize and turn orange in the bottle the way straight ascorbic acid does.
- Bergamot tea extract. From the leaf rather than the fruit rind, so it brings the bright citrus character without the fruit oil.
- Witch hazel, aloe, and hyaluronic acid. Witch hazel for the clarifying feel, aloe and hyaluronic acid to keep it comfortable.
Full ingredients: Aqua (Distilled Water), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract (standardized to 14% alcohol), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Brassica Oleracea Italica Sprout Extract (Broccoli Microgreens), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Sodium Hyaluronate, Lactobacillus (and) Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Citrus Bergamia Leaf Extract (Bergamot Tea Extract), Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Citric Acid, Sodium Phytate.
Safety
Contains witch hazel with alcohol. Standardized to fourteen percent. If your skin is very dry or sensitive, patch test and start with once a day.
For external use only. Avoid the eye area, and rinse thoroughly with water if it gets in your eyes. If irritation occurs, stop using it.
If you are also using retinoids or exfoliating acids, introduce this slowly rather than layering everything on the same night.
Keep the cap on and store in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
