Details

Himalayan salt, coffee, and sunflower microgreens we grow ourselves. Scoop it, scrub it, rinse it. Skin comes out smooth, and the coconut oil stays behind, so most people skip lotion afterward.

Salt is the coarser of the two scrubs we make. The grains hold their edge instead of dissolving the way sugar does, so this one actually bites. It is the right pick for heels, elbows, and knees that need real work.

Coffee and cocoa give it a real mocha smell, closer to an open bag of beans than a dessert. It is the morning jar. Four ounces, made in small batches on our farm outside Philadelphia. Body only, two or three times a week.

How to use
  1. Stir. The oil separates and rises to the top. Stir it back in before each use.
  2. Massage. Onto damp skin in circular motions. This one is built for heels, elbows, knees, and anywhere genuinely rough.
  3. Rinse. Warm water, then pat dry. The oil stays on your skin, so give it a minute before you dress.

Two or three times a week is plenty. Not on freshly shaved skin. Use clean, dry hands or a small spoon to keep water out of the jar. Coffee grounds can stain a light-colored washcloth, so use an old one.

What it targets
  • Genuinely rough skin. Salt and coffee grounds together make this the most aggressive scrub we make.
  • Tired, stressed skin. Coffee seed is naturally rich in caffeine and antioxidants, and it helps refresh the look of tired, puffy-looking skin.
  • Uneven texture. Sunflower microgreens help support the appearance of a smoother, more even-looking surface.
  • Dryness. Coconut oil stays behind after you rinse, so skin feels soft rather than stripped.
What is inside
  • Sunflower microgreens. Grown on our Philadelphia farm and naturally rich in vitamin E and antioxidant compounds, they help support the appearance of smoother, more resilient-looking skin.
  • Coffee seed. Naturally rich in caffeine and antioxidants, and coarse enough to do some of the scrubbing itself. It helps refresh the look of tired skin.
  • Cocoa. The other half of the mocha. It rounds the coffee out and keeps the scent from going bitter.
  • Himalayan salt. The exfoliant, and the reason this one is coarser. Naturally mineral-rich, and it does not dissolve as quickly as sugar.

Full ingredients: Sodium Chloride (Himalayan Salt), Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed, Water (Aqua), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Extract, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Lactobacillus & Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Sodium Phytate, Mica.

Safety

For external use only. Body only, not for the face. This is salt and coffee grounds on an abrasive base, so keep it off broken, irritated, sunburned, or freshly shaved skin. It will find every nick you have. Patch test a small area before the first full use. If irritation occurs, stop using it and rinse with cool water.

The oil makes surfaces slippery. Take care getting in and out of the tub or shower, and rinse the floor afterward. Coffee grounds can clog a slow drain, so rinse thoroughly.

Avoid contact with eyes, and rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs. Keep water out of the jar and close the lid tightly. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
