Details

Himalayan salt, coconut oil, and kale microgreens we grow ourselves. Scoop it, scrub it, rinse it. Skin comes out smooth, and the coconut oil stays behind, so most people skip lotion afterward.

Salt is the coarser of the two scrubs we make. The grains hold their edge instead of dissolving the way sugar does, so this one actually bites. It is the right pick for heels, elbows, and knees that need real work.

Chamomile softens the whole thing. If your skin goes pink easily but your heels still need the salt, this is the compromise. Four ounces, made in small batches on our farm outside Philadelphia. Body only, two or three times a week.

How to use
  1. Stir. The oil separates and rises to the top. Stir it back in before each use.
  2. Massage. Onto damp skin in circular motions. Let the salt do the work rather than pressing hard.
  3. Rinse. Warm water, then pat dry. The oil stays on your skin, so give it a minute before you dress.

Two or three times a week is plenty. Not on freshly shaved skin. Use clean, dry hands or a small spoon to keep water out of the jar.

What it targets
  • Genuinely rough skin. Coarse salt grains work on callused heels, elbows, and knees that a sugar scrub will not touch.
  • Easily reddened skin. Chamomile helps calm the look of redness, so skin looks settled rather than worked over.
  • Dryness. Coconut oil, aloe, and glycerin stay behind after you rinse, so skin feels soft rather than stripped.
  • Comfort after the fact. The pairing is there so you can exfoliate properly without your skin staying angry about it.
What is inside
  • Kale microgreens. Harvested young, when vitamin and antioxidant concentrations are at their highest. They help support the look of comfortable, resilient skin.
  • Chamomile. Soft, warm, and faintly sweet. It helps calm the look of redness, and it gives this one its character.
  • Himalayan salt. The exfoliant, and the reason this one is coarser. Naturally mineral-rich, and it does not dissolve as quickly as sugar.
  • Coconut oil and aloe. The part that stays on your skin after the salt rinses away.

Safety

For external use only. Body only, not for the face. This is salt on an abrasive base, so keep it off broken, irritated, sunburned, or freshly shaved skin. It will find every nick you have. Patch test a small area before the first full use. If irritation occurs, stop using it and rinse with cool water.

Chamomile and ragweed. Chamomile belongs to the same plant family as ragweed, daisies, and marigolds. If you react to those, patch test carefully or choose another scent.

The oil makes surfaces slippery. Take care getting in and out of the tub or shower, and rinse the floor afterward.

Avoid contact with eyes, and rinse thoroughly with water if contact occurs. Keep water out of the jar and close the lid tightly. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
