A clay mask is one of the simplest ways to give your skin a deep clean. Our Clay Powders come as a dry powder rather than a ready-mixed paste, so you mix exactly what you need, when you need it. That is also why there is no preservative in the jar.
What's in Microglams Clay Powder
- Bentonite clay to draw out oil and buildup from pores.
- Sea moss and rice powder to soften and smooth the look of skin.
- Microgreens grown on our Philadelphia farm, plus green tea, for a dose of plant antioxidants while you mask.
How to use a clay mask powder
- Start with clean, dry skin.
- Put about a teaspoon of powder in a small non-metal bowl.
- Add water a little at a time and stir until it forms a smooth paste. You can use a facial mist or hydrosol instead of water, such as one of our Face & Body Mists.
- Spread a thin, even layer over your face, avoiding the eyes and lips.
- Leave it on for about 10 minutes. Rinse while it still feels slightly tacky, before it dries hard and cracks.
- Rinse with warm water, pat dry and follow with a toner and facial oil.
How often to use a clay mask
Once or twice a week suits most skin. If your skin is oily, you may like twice a week; if it is dry or sensitive, once a week is plenty.
Which clay powder is right for you?
Each powder pairs our clay base with a different microgreen and botanical, such as Kale Chamomile for calming, Wasabi Rose for brightening, or Broccoli Bergamot for balancing. See all Clay Powders, or take our skin quiz to find your match.
For external use only. Patch test first if you have sensitive skin, and stop use if irritation occurs.
